The Dolphin Pool SOLMC#6

Dolphin pool

“You all must shower before you get into the pool.” The guide told us.

The showers were on and practically frozen water spilled on top of us. Samar and I rushed in and rushed out, trying to escape the grasp of the cold.

Finally we got into the pool, the place where memories of a lifetime were going to be made. First we were introduced to the dolphin, he did some tricks and I couldn’t wait to meet him. They had people swim out to the dolphin and hold up their hand as high as they could and the dolphin swam up and bopped our hands with his nose. Next we held out our hands and held his flippers and we “danced.” The last had to be my favorite, me and the dolphin kissed. I know, I know, it sounds gross but it was cool.

Then the trainers and dolphins switched, there were two groups and one had the dancing and kissing dolphin, the other had the dolphins that took us on a ride. First we were sent out to the middle of the pool and were instructed to make a “T” with our bodies. (Hands out and legs straight) Then the dolphins came and we held onto their fins and they rode us back to shore. The next ride was the best, we were told to lay on our bellies and the dolphins came behind us and put their noses on the balls of our feet and lifted us out of the water like we were flying! It was awesome. On my brothers turn of the “Flying ride” he made a pose and sadly we didn't  get a photo but it was really cool.

This is a picture of me being kissed by a dolphin.
